Murder of 67-year-old man with TNT in Shkodra/ 4 suspected perpetrators in

The murder with explosives of 67-year-old Hysni Ymeri in Shkodra, committed on 29.12.2025, in the "Manush Alimani" neighborhood, is being solved.

Through the police operation codenamed "Shadows", four citizens suspected of being the perpetrators of this murder were identified, captured and arrested.

These are the citizens: GB, 27 years old; EI, 27 years old; EH, 25 years old; Gj. Z., 24 years old.

As a result of intensive operational and investigative work, carried out by the structures of the Shkodra Local Police Directorate, under the direction of the Shkodra Prosecution Office, with the aim of clarifying the dynamics and authorship of the murder of citizen HY, based on the evidence obtained, the police operation codenamed "SHADOWS" was finalized.

As part of this operation, the following citizens were arrested and put in handcuffs: GB, 27 years old; EI, 27 years old; EH, 25 years old; Gj. Z., 24 years old.

Their detention was carried out after there were well-founded suspicions and evidence that these citizens, in exchange for payment, in collaboration with each other, on 29.12.2025, using explosives (suspected to be remotely controlled), exploded the electrical panel of the building where citizen HY lived.

During the procedural actions, searches of places and premises, as well as personal searches, the following were found and seized as material evidence: 28 cell phones, 1 "Mercedes-Benz" vehicle, the clothes worn by the suspected perpetrator who planted the explosive, combat ammunition, a monetary amount in lek and euros, a quantity of narcotics, a quantity of cocaine, 3 GPS tracking devices, 2 security cameras and 1 laptop.

Work continues to identify other people implicated in this event and to fully document it, as well as to clarify the motives.

The procedural materials were referred to the Shkodra Prosecution Office for the criminal offenses: “Premeditated murder”, committed in collaboration; “Destruction of property with explosives”; “Unauthorized possession and production of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition”; “Production and sale of narcotics”, committed in collaboration; and “Disturbance of public peace”. /CNA
