Extradited from Dubai/ GJKKO leaves Florenc Çapjan in prison

The Special Court has left in force the security measure "Arrest in prison" for Florenc Çapjan, extradited a few days ago from Dubai.

Çapja is accused of "Providing conditions and means to commit murder", committed within the framework of a structured criminal group, "Murder under aggravating circumstances", committed in collaboration and "Unlicensed possession and production of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition".

44-year-old Florenc Çapja, otherwise known as one of the strongmen of Elbasan, was arrested in May 2021 in Dubai and is accused of the murder of Gentian and Nezir Beqiri, father and son, in 2012.

The Court against Corruption and Organized Crime (CCOC) has sentenced Florenc Çapja to life imprisonment.

Çapja executed in their apartment while Gentian Beqiri was under "house arrest" and guarded by two police officers at the door of the house, as he was accused of being the author of the murder of well-known businessman Sokol Çapja./ CNA
