A serious incident occurred this Sunday near the Port of Shëngjin. One person was found dead. The incident occurred today at around 15:40.
According to initial information, the person who lost his life is suspected to be a 37-year-old NZ citizen, resident of Fushë-Krujë.
Based on police details, no signs of violence or physical injuries were found on the victim's body.
It is initially suspected that he died as a result of drowning at sea.
"Around 15:40, near the Port of Shëngjin, the port's Border Police officers found the lifeless body of a citizen near the shore.
A few meters away from the body, Border Police services have found a Jet Ski-type watercraft. Preliminary verifications suspect that the victim is a 37-year-old NZ citizen, resident of Fushë-Krujë.
No signs of violence or physical injuries were found on the victim's body. It is initially suspected that he died as a result of drowning at sea.
"The investigation team is at the scene and is working to clarify the circumstances of the incident," the Police statement said. /CNA
