Part of a criminal organization/ 47-year-old woman on international wanted list arrested

The operation codenamed "Operacionalja" continues, as part of which the 47-year-old MA alias DT was arrested. The 47-year-old was declared internationally wanted by Interpol after being convicted in 2016 by the Court of Appeal of Cagliari and sentenced to 9.6 years in prison. The arrested woman is accused of "Drug Trafficking", committed within the framework of a criminal organization.

The 47-year-old was arrested in Elbasan with the aim of extradition to Italy.

Police notification

The Directorate of the Special Operational Force finalized the next operation to capture internationally wanted citizens.

"Operation 44"/Sentenced to over 9 years in prison as a member of a criminal organization that trafficked narcotics, the 47-year-old woman is captured in Elbasan.  

 

As a result of the coordination of work and exchange of information with Italian partners, through the homologous structures Interpol Tirana and Interpol Rome, the services of the Special Operational Force Directorate, within the framework of the operation "Operacionalja 44", located in Elbasan, captured and handcuffed, with the aim of extradition to Italy, the citizen:

 

Majlinda Avduli alias Dajana Tafani, 47 years old, resident of Elbasan. 

This citizen was declared internationally wanted by Interpol Rome, after the Court of Appeal of Cagliari, Italy, in 2016, sentenced her to 9 years, 6 months and 22 days in prison for the criminal offense of "Drug Trafficking", committed within the framework of a criminal organization.  

Interpol Tirana is cooperating with counterparts in Rome to finalize the extradition of this citizen to Italy./ CNA
