Most wanted in Albania/ Florenc Çapja extradited today

The State Police, following the very good cooperation with partners, both in investigative and operational aspects, and as a result of the immediate exchange of information between specialized structures for the localization and capture of citizens internationally wanted, for the purpose of extradition, this afternoon will successfully finalize another phase of the international operation codenamed "The Wanted".

As part of this operation, it is expected that this afternoon, the extradition from Dubai of the highly wanted Florenc Çapja, 44 years old, resident of Elbasan, will be successfully finalized.

Florenc Çapja, otherwise known as one of the strongmen of Elbasan, was arrested in May 2021 in Dubai and is accused of the murder of Gentian and Nezir Beqiri, father and son, in 2012.

The Court against Corruption and Organized Crime (CAC) has sentenced Florenc Çapjan to life imprisonment.

Çapja executed them in their apartment while Gentian Beqiri was under 'house arrest' and guarded by two police officers at the door of the house, as he was accused of being the author of the murder of well-known businessman Sokol Çapja.

The murder of Gentian Beqiri was committed inside his apartment, while he was lying in bed after being paralyzed, and then the perpetrators also murdered his father, Nezir Beqiri.

A few months ago, SPAK requested the confiscation of Çapja's assets.

The seized assets for which confiscation is requested are:
