Road checks in Shkodra/ 7 drivers arrested, around 2500 fines imposed

The Shkodra Traffic Police, present 24/7, on all road axes, with the aim of preventing accidents and guaranteeing road safety, continuously monitored, with modern logistics equipment, logged and unlogged, with the aim of managing traffic and identifying violations that are the source of accidents or that become obstacles to traffic.

Over the last 2 weeks, 7 drivers have been arrested and 43 others have been criminally prosecuted for the criminal offenses of "Irregular driving" and "Violation of traffic rules", and a total of 2422 administrative measures have been imposed for various violations of the Road Code, specifically:

138 measures for not wearing a seat belt;

186 measures for not wearing a protective helmet;

39 measures for using a mobile phone while driving;

21 measures for driving under the influence of alcohol;

39 measures for tinted windows;

269 ??measures for wrong overtaking;

683 measures for stopping or wrongful standing;

101 measures for not giving priority to pedestrians;

946 measures for other violations of the Road Code.

Controls by the Traffic Police will continue on all urban, interurban and rural road axes, using all modern logistical means, with the aim of meeting road safety parameters. /CNA
