Road checks in Berat/ 952 drivers fined for various violations

The Berat Traffic Police continues monitoring all roads in the region, with the aim of preventing accidents and meeting road safety parameters.

Special attention has been paid to vehicles that circulate with tinted windows as well as citizens who drive under the influence of alcohol.

Over the past 2 weeks, 1 citizen has been arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol. Additionally, 4 citizens have been prosecuted for driving without a license.

Furthermore, during this period:

-1 driver was administratively punished for driving under the influence of alcohol;

-304 drivers have been punished for wrongful overtaking;

-57 drivers have been fined for not wearing seat belts;

-116 drivers have been fined for speeding above the allowed speed limit;

-193 drivers were punished for stopping or stopping their vehicle in violation of road signs;

-19 drivers have been fined for using a mobile phone while driving;

-263 drivers have been punished for other violations of the Road Code.

Checks will continue on all road axes in the district.
