American tourist arrested after killing wife in Shkodra

Police have arrested today the 57-year-old American man who killed his wife SS, 54, yesterday.

The report states that the incident occurred for weak motives as it is suspected that the perpetrator was drunk and raped and attacked his wife with a cutting instrument. The 54-year-old woman died at the scene as a result of her injuries.

Specialists for the Investigation of Crimes against the Person at the Shkodra DVP arrested the American citizen BS, 57 years old, for the criminal offense of "Murder due to family relations", after: On 02.05.2025, in the "Vasil Shanto" neighborhood, in a rented apartment, it is suspected that in a drunken state, for weak motives, he raped and hit his wife, citizen SS, 54 years old, with hard objects and a cutting tool, who as a result of the injuries lost her life at the scene.

Also, the American tourist, after fatally stabbing his wife, attempted to end his own life by cutting his wrists.
