They were transporting 4 immigrants from Qafë Thana to Qafë

Gjirokastra police have arrested two people in flagrante delicto, transporting illegal immigrants.

VT and FM, who were transporting four immigrants from Nepal, from Qafë Thana to Qafë Bota, have been arrested.

The migrants intended to cross the border illegally.

In connection with the incident, the accomplice of the two arrested persons was declared wanted.

 

Police notification

DVP Gjirokastër/The police operation codenamed "Attempt 4" is finalized.       

Three citizens have been identified as helping immigrants from third countries cross borders illegally by transporting them by vehicle, in exchange for payment.    

Two of them were arrested, one of whom was caught red-handed transporting 4 immigrants from Nepal in a vehicle, who were intending to illegally cross the border at Qafë Botë. 

The vehicle and 1 cell phone were seized.      

The Specialists for the Investigation of Illegal Trafficking, in continuation of their work to crack down on the criminal activity of providing assistance to foreign citizens, in return for payment, for illegal border crossing, based on information obtained through police channels, have organized and finalized, in cooperation with the Traffic Police Sector of the Gjirokastër DVP, the police operation codenamed "Attempt 4", as a result of which the following citizens were arrested:

VT, 36 years old and FM, 30 years old, both residents of Durrës. 

Citizen VT was caught red-handed by the Traffic Police services, on the "Ura e Kardhiqit-Saranda" road axis, transporting in an "Audi" type vehicle, for payment, from Qafë Thana towards Qafë Botës, 4 immigrants from Nepal who were intending to cross the border illegally.   

Citizen FM was arrested in cooperation with the Durrës DVP services.

Intensive work continues to capture and arrest their accomplice, who has been identified, but due to the investigation, his general characteristics are not being disclosed./CNA
