'Rrugore' action in Tirana/ 7 arrested and 24 prosecuted in the last 72 hours

Tirana Traffic Police conducted a patrol operation in the capital, which resulted in several arrests and criminal proceedings.

During the last 72 hours, as a result of these checks, 31 citizens have been arrested or criminally prosecuted. Specifically:

5 citizens have been arrested for drunk driving;

2 citizens were arrested for driving without a license;

23 citizens have been criminally prosecuted while at large, for various violations of the Traffic Code;

1 citizen was criminally prosecuted while at large, for the criminal offense of "Active corruption of persons exercising public functions".

The action was carried out on urban and interurban roads, with the aim of preventing incidents with consequences for the life and health of road users, as well as punishing traffic rule violators. /CNA
