A 39-year-old man was arrested by the "Eagle" Special Forces after he was driving on "Bajram Curri" Boulevard with a pistol in his vehicle.

Citizen IG, 39 years old, resident of Tirana, was stopped in a 'Benz' type vehicle.

During the operation, a firearm with a magazine and cartridges were also seized.

Announcement:

Following the police operations against illegal possession of weapons, carried out as a result of well-organized operational and intelligence work, the services of the "Eagle" Special Force, in cooperation with the services of the Police Commissariat No. 1, finalized the "Bulevardi" operation.

Based on the information provided, on "Bajram Curri" Boulevard, a "Benz" vehicle driven by citizen IG, 39 years old, resident of Tirana, was stopped.

During the search, a firearm, a pistol with ammunition, was found in the vehicle, which the 39-year-old was in possession of without a permit.

Following the procedural actions in the case, citizen IG was arrested in flagrante delicto, for the criminal offense of "Unauthorized possession and production of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition".

The procedural materials were referred to the Tirana Prosecutor's Office for further action. /CNA
