49-year-old man injured by grenade in Pogradec/ Injuries to body and face, suspected to be war-related

A 49-year-old man was injured today in Geshtenjas, Pogradec, after a hand grenade exploded.

As a result of the incident, 49-year-old GY is receiving treatment at the Pogradec hospital. It is learned that the citizen has suffered injuries to parts of his body and face.

It is learned that his life is currently out of danger, and the possibility of transporting him to Tirana for more specialized treatment is being considered.

It is known that the 49-year-old was working in the yard of his apartment when, while working, he activated a hand grenade that was underground and then exploded.

An investigation team is currently at the scene to carry out actions to clarify the incident. It is suspected that the grenade dates back to the war period./CNA
