Cannabis, weapons and money seized in Thessaloniki / Albanian man and his two sons arrested

Three Albanians have been arrested in Thessaloniki on charges of drug trafficking. According to Greek police, the 62-year-old father, along with his two sons, 33 and 35, were hiding narcotics on a farm in the municipality of Thermi.

It is reported that in the farm yard they had also cultivated a two-meter-high cannabis plant, which was uprooted and confiscated by the authorities. Specifically, during a search conducted in the premises they were using, the following were found and seized:

• a quantity of raw cannabis weighing 60 grams,
• a quantity of processed cannabis weighing 52 grams,
• a package of cocaine weighing 2.4 grams,
• two precision electronic scales,
• a 9 mm caliber pistol, with a magazine and seven cartridges,
• a sum of money amounting to 1,655 euros,
• seven mobile phones. /CNA
