Illegal hunting in Prush Lake / 35-year-old arrested in flagrante delicto, gun

A 35-year-old man was caught red-handed and put in handcuffs while hunting birds at Prushi Lake in Tirana.

The hunting was being conducted in violation of the hunting moratorium.

During the search, a hunting rifle with ammunition was seized from 35-year-old citizen NM.

Announcement:

During patrols carried out by the services of Police Commissariat No. 6, with the aim of preventing, ascertaining and cracking down on cases of illegal hunting, at Lake Prushi it was discovered that a citizen was hunting birds, in violation of the moratorium imposed on this activity.

Following procedural actions regarding this illegality, the perpetrator, citizen NM, 35 years old, resident of the village of Prush, was identified and arrested for the criminal offense of "Damage to small species of wild flora and fauna".

Authorities announce that controls against illegal hunting will continue.

The procedural materials were referred to the Tirana Prosecutor's Office for further action. /CNA
