A 25-year-old man has been arrested by Mati Police after being caught carrying a firearm.

DK was arrested after a semi-automatic firearm was found in his vehicle during a search.

The found weapon was seized by officers as material evidence.

The police operation codenamed "Bridge" is being finalized by the Mat Police Station.

The 25-year-old was caught red-handed, driving around with a semi-automatic firearm, in a vehicle, and was placed in handcuffs.

The firearm and vehicle are seized.

The services of the Mat Police Commissariat, in continuation of their work to identify and crack down on cases of illegal possession of weapons, based on information obtained during operations about a citizen who was circulating with a firearm, organized and finalized the police operation codenamed "Bridge".

As a result of this operation, DK citizen, 25 years old, resident of Klos, was arrested in flagrante delicto.

During the intervention, at the location called "Ura e Matit", the Police services located and stopped the "Audi" vehicle, driven by the 25-year-old, and during the search, a semi-automatic firearm was found, which was seized as material evidence, along with the vehicle.

The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Dibër, for further action.
