Violation of the security perimeter/ Vessel blocked in Velipojë, driver

The Border Police in Shkodra have blocked a vessel in Velipojë because it violated the security perimeter, jeopardizing the safety of vacationers.

The driver of the vehicle was also punished, and a fine of 100,000 new lek was imposed on him. 

The watercraft was a Jet Ski and was driven by citizen R. Gj.

 

 

Police notification

 

Violated the security perimeter with a floating vehicle, Border Police escorted the driver and blocked the floating vehicle.

At the conclusion of the procedures, the driver of the vessel will be punished with an administrative fine of 100,000 new lek.

The Border Police Services, the Maritime Police Unit and those of the Velipojë Border Police Station have intensified measures, significantly increasing patrols on the Velipoja coastline.

During patrol, Border Police services received a report from vacationers that a Jet Ski had entered the vicinity of the coast in the Velipoja area, endangering the safety of beachgoers.

This case was filmed by citizens and was also published on the JOQ portal.

Immediately, the services of the Velipojë Border Police Station and the Maritime Police Unit intervened and found the Jet Ski, driven by citizen R. Gj.

At the conclusion of the administrative procedures, the driver of the vessel will be punished with an administrative measure worth 100,000 new lek.

The State Police appeals to all users of watercraft to strictly respect navigation rules and the safety perimeter for vacationers who go to the beach in designated areas.
