Convicted of murder, dies at QSUT

The General Directorate of Prisons has announced that today a prisoner has died at the QSUT.

In the announcement, the Prisons announced that the 73-year-old was convicted of intentional murder and the cause of his death was determined to be cardiac arrest.

 

 

Prison Notice

 

Today, on 25.05.2026, at around 12:20, patient AB, born on 01.07.1953, born and residing in Fier, convicted of the criminal offense of "Intentional Murder", who had been hospitalized since 17.05.2026 in the emergency room of the QSUT, passed away.

The patient was transferred to the Lezha Penitentiary Institution on 27.11.2021, with a compulsory treatment measure. After developing a serious health condition, he was initially taken to the Lezha Regional Hospital and then transferred for specialized treatment to the University Hospital, where he died.

According to preliminary medical information, the cause of death is "cardiac arrest".

The case is being followed according to relevant procedures.
