He shot and wounded his friend/ The young man and his two friends are arrested

A serious incident occurred after midnight in Tirana, where a 17-year-old was injured with gunfire.

Police have arrested a 19-year-old RS citizen as the perpetrator of the incident, who stated to authorities that the weapon was accidentally fired.

Citizens AV, 20 years old, and HH, 22 years old, were also arrested for the criminal offense of "Actions that hinder the discovery of the truth."

"Around 01:40, after the announcement that a 17-year-old had been wounded with a gunshot on "Berit Beker" Street, the services of the Serious Crimes Investigation Sector immediately went to the scene, with the aim of clarifying the circumstances and fully documenting the case legally.

From the initial investigative actions, it results that in the apartment of citizen RS, 19 years old, the latter, while showing his pistol to his friend and thinking that there was no cartridge in the chamber, accidentally fired it and as a result the 17-year-old was injured.

At the conclusion of the first investigative actions:

-the arrest in flagrante delicto of the RS citizen, 19 years old, for the criminal offenses of "Serious injury by negligence", "Actions that impede the discovery of the truth" and "Unauthorized possession of weapons and ammunition";

-Citizens AV, 20 years old, and HH, 22 years old, were arrested for the criminal offense of "Actions that hinder the discovery of the truth".

The 17-year-old is in the hospital, under the care of doctors.

"Investigations are ongoing to fully document the case and clarify all the circumstances of the incident," the police statement/CNA said.
