A serious incident occurred on Cadimare beach, near La Spezia in Italy, where a young Albanian man lost his life while bathing in the sea.

Vacationers on the beach noticed the body of a young man near the shore and after noticing that he was unconscious, they immediately notified emergency services.

Despite the immediate intervention of the 118 emergency medical team and Italian Red Cross volunteers, the 23-year-old Albanian AK did not survive. It is suspected that the cause of death may have been a sudden health problem that struck him while swimming in the sea.

According to witnesses, the young man had arrived alone at the beach around lunchtime, intending to spend a few hours relaxing. He had first walked around the small square in the area and then lay down in the sun.

High summer temperatures seem to have pushed him into the water, but according to initial suspicions, the temperature difference between the heat and the cold sea water, still affected by the bad weather of recent days, may have caused the fatal condition.

Italian police arrived at the scene to identify the victim and collect personal belongings. According to initial investigations, he was in Italy on a visa and was not a resident of La Spezia. After completing the procedures, the young man's body was transported to the morgue of the Sant'Andrea hospital. /CNA
