4 assets worth 287 thousand euros are seized

4 assets worth around 287,000 euros, suspected to be the product of criminal activities abroad, are seized.

The owner, sentenced in Italy to 9 years in prison and a 60,000 euro fine, for participating in a criminal group for the exploitation of prostitution.

Specialists of the Money Laundering and Criminal Assets Investigation Section, in cooperation with the Seized and Confiscated Assets Administration Agency, within the framework of a property investigation conducted under the direction of the Tirana Prosecution Office, executed during the "Origin" operation, the decision of the Tirana Court, for the seizure of 2 apartments and 2 vehicles owned by citizen AL, 53 years old.

The 4 assets are suspected to be the product of the 53-year-old's criminal activity in Italy, where he was sentenced to 9 years in prison and a 60,000 euro fine, for the criminal offense of "Exploitation of prostitution", committed within the framework of a structured criminal group.

The procedural materials were referred to the Tirana Prosecutor's Office for further action./ CNA
