Accidentally injured young man/51-year-old man arrested

Police have arrested 51-year-old BK, who negligently injured a 34-year-old man.

BK is suspected of having shot F. Xh in the leg yesterday, out of negligence, in a bar.

The victim is in hospital and out of danger.

 

Police notification

It is suspected that a 34-year-old man was negligently shot and wounded, and the 51-year-old was identified, arrested and placed in custody.

The 34-year-old victim is also in custody, for actions that hinder the discovery of the truth.

The firearm with which the 51-year-old is suspected of having committed the injury has been seized.

The Crime Investigation Specialists of Police Station No. 5, after receiving notification that a citizen, suspected of being wounded by gunfire, had presented himself to the hospital for medical assistance yesterday afternoon, immediately organized the work for the complete legal documentation of the event and the identification of the suspected perpetrators.

The rapid investigative actions led to the identification, capture and arrest of citizen BK, 51 years old, who is suspected of having carelessly shot citizen F. Xh., 34 years old, in the leg, with whom they lived in the same neighborhood, in a bar in Valias yesterday afternoon. The latter is in hospital, out of danger to his life.

Also, citizen F. Xh. (the injured party) was arrested, as he did not fully cooperate during the investigation process, failing to provide sufficient information on the circumstances and the person suspected of being the perpetrator of the injury.

Further, during the search of the 51-year-old's apartment, the firearm, a pistol, with which the injury was allegedly committed, was found and seized.

The procedural materials were referred to the Tirana Prosecutor's Office for further action./ CNA
