2943 cannabis roots destroyed in Shkodra/ Two environmental guards prosecuted

Following Operation "Coordinates", during checks in the Shkodra region, 2,943 suspected cannabis narcotic plants were found and destroyed.

The police prosecuted two environmental guards in connection with the cases, accused of abuse of office.

During the checks in the territory of the Shkodra district, 2,943 suspected narcotic Cannabis Sativa plants were found and destroyed.

Two environmental guards are being prosecuted for abuse of office.

Following the police operation codenamed "Coordinates", the structures of the Shkodra Local Police Directorate and the police stations under its jurisdiction have intensified controls throughout the territory of the district, with the aim of cracking down on cases of cultivation of narcotic plants.

In the territory of the administrative units of Pult and Shosh, the services of the Shkodra Police Commissariat found and destroyed 735 suspected Cannabis Sativa plants.

In the territory of the administrative units of Kastrat and Gruemirë, the services of the Malësi e Madhe Police Commissariat destroyed 1631 suspected Cannabis Sativa plants.

In these cases, proceedings were initiated for abuse of office:

VP, forest ranger

AK, guard of protected areas

In the territory of the administrative units of Temal and Shllak, the services of the Vau i Dejës Police Commissariat destroyed 139 suspected narcotic Cannabis Sativa plants.

In the territory of the administrative units of Luf-Qerret and Gjegjan, the services of the Puka Police Commissariat destroyed 438 suspected narcotic Cannabis Sativa plants.
