Internationally wanted for criminal organization/ 46-year-old arrested

A 46-year-old man who was internationally wanted for criminal organization and drug trafficking has been arrested.

The Court of Rome has issued an arrest warrant for the 46-year-old.

ER's arrest was made with the aim of extradition to Italy.

Successive operations by the Special Operations Force Directorate continue to capture internationally wanted persons.

The police operation codenamed "Operation 53" is finalized.

A citizen who is internationally wanted for criminal organization and drug trafficking is captured and arrested for extradition to Italy.

The structures of the Special Operations Force Directorate at the Criminal Police Department, based on operational information and in cooperation with the Tirana Local Police Directorate, the Security Expert Office at the Italian Embassy and the I-CAN Project, located and arrested citizen ER, 46 years old, resident of Tirana.

This citizen was declared internationally wanted by Interpol Rome, after the Court of Rome, Italy, issued an arrest warrant for this citizen, for the criminal offenses of "Criminal Organization" and "Drug Trafficking".

Criminal offenses for which, according to the Italian Criminal Code, a maximum sentence of up to 20 years in prison is provided.

 

Legal procedures for the extradition of this citizen are ongoing, in cooperation with the Italian justice authorities.
