She risked drowning at sea/ A tourist is helped in the Bay of St. John

A citizen who was in danger of drowning at sea, in the Bay of Saint John, is being helped.

Today, during a patrol by boat, the Vlora Border Police services detected calls for help from vacationers. On the shore was a female citizen who had been pulled out of the sea by citizens, after she had drunk water while swimming and was in danger of drowning.

Border Police officers, together with vacationers, provided her with first aid on the shore and then transported her by boat to the port of Vlora. During the journey, her health deteriorated, but she was again assisted by Border Police officers and it was possible to stabilize her until the moment of handover to the emergency medical team.

Thanks to the quick response, the citizen is out of danger to her life, under the care of doctors at the Vlora Regional Hospital. /CNA
