Smuggled goods from Greece/ 57-year-old man arrested

A 57-year-old man was arrested at Kapshtica customs after he smuggled goods from Greece.

During the search of the arrested person's vehicle, food products, alcoholic beverages, and cigarette packs were found, suspected of having been smuggled in from Greece, as they were not accompanied by purchase receipts.

The 57-year-old arrested man is accused of smuggling goods subject to excise duty.

 

Police notification

A 57-year-old man was arrested for smuggling goods from Greece while transporting them.

Smuggled goods are seized.

Following systematic checks and those based on police information, the services of the Korça DVKM, at the Kapshtica Border Crossing Point, at the entrance to the Republic of Albania, passed for a second-line check the vehicle driven by citizen Th. B., 57 years old, resident of Plasë.

During the search, food products and alcoholic beverages, dozens of packs of cigarettes and several mobile phones were found in the vehicle, suspected of being smuggled from Greece, as they were not equipped with purchase receipts.

Following procedural actions, the 57-year-old was arrested in flagrante delicto for the criminal offenses of "Smuggling of goods subject to excise duty" and "Smuggling of other goods", and the goods were seized./ CNA
