Opposition protest/Tirana Police: 24 citizens who threw Molotov cocktails

Tirana Police have identified 24 citizens who threw Molotov cocktails, as well as resisted and hit police officers, during the opposition rally held yesterday.

According to the police, 15 of them were arrested and 9 of them were prosecuted.

Six police officers were injured during the rally.

Citizens OK, 43 years old; MJ, 53 years old; SD, 48 years old; EH, 22 years old; AM, 50 years old; AK, 55 years old; AK, 58 years old; KT, 34 years old; FD, 34 years old; HD, 36 years old; Xh. T., 40 years old; Xh. K., 30 years old; ET, 21 years old; I. Xh., 33 years old; and LG, 19 years old were arrested in flagrante delicto and criminal proceedings were initiated against citizens: K. M, E. H, L. M and 5 minor citizens.

Also, the materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office where criminal proceedings were initiated against citizen KB, a member of parliament, for the criminal offenses of "Organizing and participating in illegal gatherings and demonstrations" and "Pushing a minor to commit a crime".

The investigative group continues to work to identify other citizens who may have committed illegal actions during the rally held yesterday.

The procedural materials were referred to the Tirana Prosecutor's Office for further action. /CNA
