A 31-year-old woman from Kosovo was found dead in a hotel in the Shkëmbi i Kavajës area.

A preliminary examination of the body revealed no external injuries, and it is announced that a forensic autopsy will be performed to determine the exact cause of death.

In connection with the incident, two hotel administrators have been criminally prosecuted, as they failed to issue a tax receipt for the rental of the premises, where the citizen had been staying since December 2025.

The results of forensic examinations to determine the cause of death of the 31-year-old are awaited.

Police announcement:

Specialists for the Investigation of Crimes against the Person at the Durrës DVP referred the materials to the Prosecutor's Office, where criminal proceedings were initiated against citizens VE, 38 years old, and A. Sh., 34 years old, both residents of Durrës, administrators of a hotel in the Shkëmbi i Kavajës area, after:

Yesterday, Kosovar citizen JH, 31 years old, was found dead in the premises of this hotel. A preliminary examination of the body did not reveal any external injuries that could have caused death. The body has been sent for a forensic autopsy, in order to determine the exact cause of death.

From the first investigative actions, it is suspected that the 2 administrators did not issue a tax coupon for the rental of the premises, where the citizen had been staying since December 2025.

The materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office for evaluation, while the results of forensic examinations to determine the cause of death of the 31-year-old are awaited. / CNA
