They cut wood in the "Shebenik" national park/ 2 people were arrested

The police of Librazhdi, in cooperation with the inspectors for the protection of forests, have struck a case of illegal cutting of forests, in the village of Rrajcë, in the place called "Gavadec", a protected area of ??the national park "Shebenik".  

For this case, the citizens with the initials Sh. B., 57 years old and EV, 27 years old, residents of Rrajcë village. They were caught red-handed cutting beech trees in the protected area of ??this park.

The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecution at the Court of First Instance of Elbasan General Jurisdiction, for further actions, for the criminal offense "Illegal cutting of forests", carried out in collaboration.   

In the meantime, the Elbasan Local Police Directorate appeals to all citizens not to be involved in illegal activities to the detriment of the environment: such as illegal cutting of trees, construction without permission, illegal taking of inert materials, waste of land, pollution, of water or air, as checks continue uninterrupted even at night, and any attempt will be detected and will be punished with the force of the law./ CNA.al
