Albanian tries to rob a bank in Greece/Police injures him with a gun

In the morning hours of this Tuesday, an attempt was made to rob a Bank in the area of ??Omonia, in Greece.

A bank employee activated the alarm button and this immediately set the Greek authorities in motion, reports " Zougla.gr ".

The perpetrator ran away with a sum of money, but was followed on foot by the bank's security officer and a police officer, who was off duty but was near the scene.

The operatives fired at the robber, who was identified as an Albanian citizen of about 40 years old.

The police claim that the Albanian tried to injure the officers with a knife and one of them shot him in self-defense with four bullets, 3 in the abdomen and one in the thigh. 

The ambulance immediately arrived at the scene, which sent him to the hospital to receive medical care.
