Possessed an unlicensed weapon and narcotics/ 23-year-old arrested

Police have arrested a 23-year-old man who was carrying a firearm.

Xh. C. was arrested, after a pistol-type firearm was found in his BMW vehicle during a search.

A weapon was seized as material evidence, along with combat ammunition and a quantity of narcotics, which were also found in the arrestee's car.

The police operation codenamed "AKSI" is finalized, to crack down on illegal possession of weapons

The 23-year-old from Shkodra was arrested and handcuffed while driving a vehicle armed with a pistol.

A firearm, a pistol, combat ammunition and a small amount of narcotics were seized.

In continuation of the work to provide information with the aim of capturing and arresting persons who circulate armed or carry firearms in their homes without a permit, the services of the Traffic Police Sector at the Lezha Police Department, in cooperation with the "Eagle" Special Force, based on information provided about a young man who was circulating armed, organized and finalized the police operation codenamed "Axis".

As a result of the operation, on the "Lezhë-Shkodër" road axis, in the village of Mabë, the Police services found a BMW vehicle suspected of being driven by an armed young man and stopped it for inspection.

During the physical search of the driver of the vehicle and the bag he was carrying, the Police services found and seized as material evidence 1 firearm, a pistol, with a magazine and combat ammunition.

Following the procedural actions, in cooperation with the Shkodra Police Department services, a search was also conducted in his apartment in the "Salo Halili" neighborhood, in Shkodra, where during the search, the Police services found and seized a small amount of narcotics, suspected to be cannabis.

At the end of the procedural actions, citizen Xh. C., 23 years old, resident of Shkodra, was arrested in flagrante delicto for the criminal offenses of "Illegal possession and production of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition" and "Production and sale of narcotics".

The procedural materials were passed to the Lezha Prosecutor's Office for further action.
