Apartment in Pogradec engulfed in flames/ Electrical spark suspected as cause

A house has been engulfed in flames in the village of Starovë, Pogradec. The fire started in a wooden hut next to the building and then spread, causing extensive material damage.

Initial suspicions are that the fire started from an electrical spark, but fortunately the 3 sisters and their mother were outside the apartment at the time.

The fire also threatened another apartment next door, but thanks to the quick intervention of the fire department, the fire was brought under control. The fire department and the police are at the scene and are investigating the circumstances.
