Interior Minister, Blendi Çuçi

The Minister of the Interior, Blendi Çuçi, said that the agreement for housing members of the Iranian opposition will continue, only if they follow Albanian laws.

In a press release, where he spoke about today's tensions in Manez, Çuçi declared that the mujahedin today showed that they are not ready to implement the laws.

"We did not intend to break the agreement. If they will stick to the agreement for humanitarian purposes. What happened today is related to the implementation of a court decision. The agreement will continue, but of course there should be a reflection from them regarding the behavior towards the Albanian institutions and the implementation of the law in Albania. With the actions they took today, they showed that they are not ready to implement the laws. The agreement continues, we will protect them as long as we have undertaken this matter, but we are also waiting for their reaction regarding the agreement that they themselves have signed, so they must implement it", the minister emphasized./ CNA.al
