Police have arrested a 33-year-old citizen in flagrante delicto after he resisted police officers who intervened to prevent the escalation of a momentary conflict between him and another citizen.

During the physical search, a knife-like cutting tool was found on the detainee.

The Crime Investigation Specialists of the Kavaja Police Commissariat arrested citizen EK, 33 years old, resident of Shijak, in flagrante delicto, for the criminal offenses of "Opposing a public order police officer" and "Unlicensed production, possession, purchase or sale of cold weapons", after yesterday, in the village of Gjepale, he opposed the police officers who intervened to prevent the escalation of a conflict for weak motives between him and citizen TM.

After being placed in handcuffs, the Police services, during a physical search, found a knife-type cutting tool on the 33-year-old, which was seized as material evidence.  

The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction of Durrës, for further action. /CNA
