Rape of 43-year-old in Lushnje/ Police deny covering up the incident

The Lushnja police have reacted to the case of a 43-year-old man who was raped by two young men a few days ago. Allegations that the incident was covered up by the police have been dismissed by the blue forces.

In the announcement, the police say they arrested two young men, IN, 20 years old, and EK, 23 years old, in flagrante delicto.

The injured person is currently under the care of doctors.

" Regarding the incident that occurred on 20.03.2025, in the city of Lushnja, where a 43-year-old man was hit with a stone by 2 citizens, and it is alleged that the police concealed the incident, we would like to inform you that:

The Lushnja Police, in cooperation with the Section for the Investigation of Crimes Against the Person at the Fier Police Department, has carried out all procedural investigative actions, has reacted and followed up on the incident in a timely manner and at no time has it attempted to favor the perpetrators or hide the news, but has carried out all procedures in accordance with the law and has made the incident public in the press release and specifically: 

Upon receiving the notification of the incident, the Police services immediately reacted by arresting the suspected perpetrators, citizens IN, 20 years old and EK, 23 years old.

After the actions taken, the Fier Local Police Directorate has issued a press release on 21.03.2025 in the summary daily, specifically, the announcement for this news was given as follows: "Specialists of the Section for the Investigation of Crimes Against the Person arrested in flagrante delicto citizens IN, 20 years old, and EK, 23 years old, both residents of Lushnja, after it is suspected that for weak motives, they have stoned a 43-year-old man, who is currently under the care of doctors ," the police say. / CNA
