Fire in a building in Gjirokastra / Residents evacuated

A building in the "18 Shtatori" neighborhood in Gjirokastra has caught fire. The cause of the fire is suspected to be an electrical spark.

Police and firefighters have arrived at the scene and residents are being evacuated.

Police report that no one was injured.

On the third floor of a building in the "18 Shtatori" neighborhood, a fire broke out in the apartment of citizen RK, suspected to be due to an electrical spark. Police forces have gone to the scene and are evacuating the residents of the building. Fire services are working to extinguish the fire. So far, no citizen has been injured or has problems from smoke. The investigation group is working to fully clarify the circumstances and legally document the case , the police announced./ CNA
