Macedonian citizen arrested at the Hani i Hoti border crossing for extradition purposes

A Macedonian citizen was arrested this Thursday by the Hani i Hoti Border Police for extradition purposes, after being declared internationally wanted for theft by Interpol Skopje.

The arrested person is the citizen with the initials AK, 50 years old, resident of North Macedonia.

The Police announces that the Border Police Services, as a result of increased measures to apprehend internationally wanted citizens attempting to enter/exit Albania, following the exchange of information with Interpol Tirana, have apprehended a Macedonian citizen at the exit from the Republic of Albania and have arrested him for extradition purposes.

This citizen was declared internationally wanted by Interpol Skopje, after being accused by the judicial authorities of North Macedonia of the criminal offense of "Theft".   

Interpol Tirana is cooperating with Interpol Skopje for the extradition of the 50-year-old./CNA
