A road accident occurred this afternoon in Përmet.
The incident occurred a few minutes ago on the national axis Përmet-Çarçovë, near the village of Badlonjë. The Mercedes-Benz vehicle with license plates AA491AB, driven by citizen Apostol Tase, 79 years old, went off the road and did two somersaults in the air, ending up on the side of the road.
Traffic Police forces have arrived at the scene and are investigating the circumstances of the accident. Meanwhile, the driver of the vehicle was transported to the hospital after being injured.
It is believed that the accident occurred due to the elderly driver losing control of the vehicle. /CNA
