A serious incident occurred a few moments ago in the "Pavarësia" neighborhood in the city of Vlora. A woman, about 35 years old, in a drunken state, knocked her 5-month-old baby to the ground several times.
Police forces immediately intervened to take the child, but the mother resisted forcefully. The baby was taken to the hospital for medical checks and, according to the police, there are no visible injuries. It is learned that the baby is undergoing a scan to assess the condition of the internal organs.
Meanwhile, the child's mother has been taken to the police station and is being questioned. Sources say she is divorced. /CNA
