Counterfeiting banknotes/ Two people in Korça are being prosecuted

Korça Police have criminally prosecuted two citizens, accused of counterfeiting coins.

Criminal proceedings have been initiated against 20-year-old JG and 19-year-old AD, after 44 suspected counterfeit 100-euro banknotes were found during a search of the 19-year-old's premises. The banknotes are suspected to have been purchased from the 20-year-old.

" The specialists of the Economic and Financial Crimes Investigation Sector referred the materials to the Prosecutor's Office, where criminal proceedings were initiated against citizens JG, 20 years old, and AD, 19 years old, residents of Korça, for the criminal offense of "Counterfeiting of Coins", after during a search of the 19-year-old's premises, in neighborhood no. 4, 44 100-euro banknotes, suspected to be counterfeit, were found, which he is suspected of having purchased from the 20-year-old ," the police announced./ CNA
