Convicted in absentia for narcotics production/ 41-year-old arrested in Tirana

The Traffic Police today stopped and handcuffed 1 wanted citizen, sentenced to 5 years in prison by the Court of Appeal, for production/sale of narcotics.

Following monitoring and verifications on all road axes of the capital, with the aim of ascertaining road violations and punishing their perpetrators, the services of the Tirana Traffic Police Commissariat have stopped the "Volkswagen" vehicle driven by citizen Mariglen Abedini, 41 years old.

After verifications, it turned out that he was currently wanted, because the Court of Appeal had sentenced him to 5 years in prison for the criminal offense of "Production and sale of narcotics".

The Narcotics Investigation Specialists of the Tirana Local Police Directorate handcuffed the 41-year-old, with the aim of executing this decision.

The procedural materials were referred to the Tirana Prosecutor's Office for further action./ CNA
