Internationally wanted for drug trafficking/ 40-year-old arrested in Vlora

The operation "Operational 35" is being finalized, within the framework of which 40-year-old A. Rr., a resident of Vlora, was arrested.

The 40-year-old was declared an international wanted man after the Brescia Court sentenced him to 8 years in prison on charges of drug trafficking.

Procedures for his extradition to Italy are ongoing.

" The Directorate of the Special Operational Force finalized the operation codenamed "Operation 35", for the localization and capture of a citizen on international wanted list.   

Sentenced by the Court of Brescia to 8 years in prison for drug trafficking, the 40-year-old was captured in Vlora and arrested with the aim of extradition. Based on information provided by intelligence on the location of a citizen on international wanted list, the Directorate of the Special Operational Force of the General Directorate of the State Police, after exchanging information with counterparts from the Italian Police, has organized and finalized the police operation codenamed "Operational 35". 

 

During the operation, citizen A. Rr., 40 years old, resident of Vlora, was captured in Vlora and arrested with the aim of extradition to Italy. This citizen was declared internationally wanted after the Court of Brescia, Italy, sentenced him to 8 years in prison for drug trafficking. Interpol Tirana and Interpol Rome will carry out the procedures for the extradition of this citizen to Italy , "the police announced./ CNA
