Conflict in Albanian family in Crete/ 2 injured and 4 arrested

An incident that occurred between a family in Rethymno, Greece has resulted in injuries and arrests. A 39-year-old man from Albania and his 53-year-old father-in-law, also of Albanian origin, are being treated at the Rethymno hospital. It is learned that the 39-year-old was hospitalized after suffering injuries caused by glass. Information indicates that his life is not in danger.

The incident began on Saturday evening when the injured 39-year-old argued with his wife. The girl complained about the verbal incident and the fight to her father and brother, who were left shocked. The girl's family then arrived at the couple's home where their 39-year-old son-in-law was with other relatives. One conversation led to another and very quickly the argument between the relatives escalated and turned into a wild fight.

The police intervention was immediate, with police officers arresting a total of four people. The 39-year-old man and his brother, the 53-year-old father-in-law and his son. The two injured who remain in the hospital are being treated under observation. /CNA
