1233 narcotic plants found in Shkodra/ Two people are being prosecuted

Operation "Coordination" continues, during which 1,233 suspected cannabis seedlings and plants were found and seized. The narcotic substance was found in three administrative units of the Shkodra district.

A forestry specialist and an environmental guard have been criminally prosecuted for abuse of office and failure to report a crime for cultivating this narcotic plant.

Meanwhile, work is still ongoing to capture the perpetrators who cultivated the narcotic plants.

Shkodra District/ The police operation codenamed "Coordination" continues, to prevent, identify and crack down on attempts to cultivate narcotic plants.

As a result of intensive controls throughout the territory of the Shkodra district, the services of the Shkodra Local Police Directorate and the police stations under its jurisdiction have found and destroyed a total of 1,233 suspected cannabis seedlings and plants (777 seedlings and 456 suspected cannabis narcotic plants).

1 Forest Specialist and 1 Environmental Guard are being prosecuted for failure to report a crime and abuse of office.

The services of the Shkodra Police Commissariat, following the police operation codenamed "Coordinates", during checks of the territory, based on police intelligence, found and destroyed 777 seedlings and 382 cannabis narcotic plants in the territory of the administrative units of Shala, Pult and Postriba.

Following the actions in these two cases, proceedings were initiated in absentia, for abuse of office and failure to report a crime, against the Forest Inspector, citizen A. M, and the Environmental Guard, citizen LA.

Meanwhile, the services of the Malësi e Madhe Police Commissariat during inspections found and destroyed 74 cannabis plants in the territory of the Shkrel administrative unit;

Work continues to identify, capture and bring to justice the perpetrators of the cultivation of these narcotic plants.
