The Border Police of Shkodra, in cooperation with the local Police, the Municipal Police and the Regional Coastal Agency, operation to guarantee the safety of vacationers and safe navigation.  

The Maritime Police Unit and Delta Force are also in operation. - The operation, for the removal of the corridors for the exit of the vessels to the sea, which were created in an illegal manner, endangering the lives of vacationers on the beach.     

- The operation, also for the control of the documentation of the vessels, on the beach of Velipoja.  

- Checks, also in the lake of Shkodra, for the safety measures that must be taken by the drivers of boats that transport tourists and visitors. 

During the operation, on the beach of Velipoja, 4 corridors for the exit of vessels to the sea, which were created illegally and constituted a danger to the lives of vacationers on the beach, were found and destroyed.     

On the beach of Velipoja, 2 Jet Ski boats were blocked due to lack of documentation on board. Their leaders were each punished with the administrative measure of 10,000 new lek.   

Also, during the control in the lake of Shkodra, 5 craft boats that did not meet the safety conditions for transporting tourists were blocked. 

The Police Services continue to monitor the coastal, lake and river lines, in order to increase the safety parameters for citizens, tourists and visitors. In this context, the State Police appeals to all economic operators and drivers of watercraft that exercise activity during the tourist season, to be equipped with the necessary documentation and to implement the rules defined for the use of watercraft.  

The State Police is maximally committed to guaranteeing order and security during the tourist season and to help tourists or visitors who seek the help of the Police, and in this context, we invite citizens to report to the free number 112, any case of violation of the security of vacations and any case of illegality./ CNA
