The accident with two victims on the Sarandë-Ksamil axis/ The 17-year-old

The police have made it possible to arrest the citizen E.Rr, 17 years old, after driving his Benz type vehicle, he hit two Italian tourists.

The accident happened on the Saranda-Ksamil axis in the early hours of the morning. As a result of the collision, two Italian tourists lost their lives.

The 17-year-old is accused of two criminal offences, "violation of traffic rules" resulting in the death of several persons according to Article 290/4 and "driving vehicles in an irregular manner" according to Article 291.

After the serious incident, the head of the State Police, Muhamet Rrumbullaku, immediately suspended the Head of the Traffic Police Section at the Saranda Police Station, Deputy Commissioner A. Sh. His suspension was made pursuant to Article 209, of the State Police Regulation, for a serious violation of the attributes/competencies of the Police, in relation to the consequences of the accident that occurred in the early hours of this morning, on the road axis " Sarandë - Ksamil", where 2 Italian tourists lost their lives, specifically the citizens of DD, 24 years old and VT, 32 years old.

Also, the administrative-disciplinary investigation for the entire chain of command of the Road Police Sector in the Local Police Directorate of Vlora, for non-fulfillment of standard work procedures, regarding taking measures to prevent road accidents, during the tourist season, has started immediately. / CNA
