December 28 elections in Kosovo/ Around 100 prosecutors engaged in monitoring

Kosovo will hold parliamentary elections this Sunday. In this regard, the State Prosecutor has announced that it has made all preparations to protect the free vote of citizens, guaranteeing the integrity of the electoral process.

The published announcement states that around 100 state prosecutors and prosecutorial system officials have been engaged in these elections, who will observe the entire process to identify any irregularities.

Pristina, December 26, 2025 - The Office of the Chief State Prosecutor informs the public that for the elections for the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo, which will be held on Sunday, December 28, 2025, the State Prosecutor has made all necessary preparations to protect the free vote of citizens, guaranteeing the integrity of the electoral process.

Around 100 state prosecutors and prosecutorial system officials have been engaged in these elections, who will remain on duty throughout the territory of the Republic of Kosovo until the end of the electoral process, with the aim of processing any irregularities that may occur in these elections.

The State Prosecutor invites the citizens of the Republic of Kosovo, all political entities, institutions or various organizations, to report to the relevant prosecutor's offices any case in which they suspect that the vote is being misused or manipulated in any way and by anyone.

In Sunday's elections, over two million Kosovo citizens will be able to exercise their right to vote. Also, 24 political entities with a total of 1,180 candidates will participate in the elections. /CNA
