Zelensky: Plane për tu takuar me Trump, presim sanksione të reja ndaj Rusisë

Presidenti i Ukrainës, Volodymyr Zelensky tha sot se do të takohej me homologun e tij amerikan, Donald Trump, në kuadër të Asamblesë së Përgjithshme të OKB-së javën e ardhshme, ndërsa Rusia intensifikoi sulmet vdekjeprurëse në të gjithë vendin e tij.

Zelensky tha se do të diskutonte garancitë e sigurisë për Ukrainën dhe sanksionet ndaj Rusisë gjatë bisedimeve me Trump në Nju Jork.

“Ne presim sanksione nëse nuk ka takim midis udhëheqësve ose, për shembull, nuk ka armëpushim. Ne jemi gati për një takim me Putinin. Kam folur për këtë. Si dypalësh ashtu edhe trepalësh. Ai nuk është gati”,- tha Zelensky.

Ukraina ka këmbëngulur në garancitë e sigurisë të mbështetura nga Perëndimi për të parandaluar sulmet e ardhshme ruse. Presidenti rus Vladimir Putin, megjithatë, ka paralajmëruar se çdo trupë perëndimore në Ukrainë do të ishte objektiv i papranueshëm dhe legjitim.
