Triple murder in Gjilan/ President Osmani: Law enforcement and justice bodies in

Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani reacted this evening regarding Sunday's serious incident in Gjilan, where three people lost their lives from gunfire, while another person was injured.

Through a statement from the Presidency, Osmani expresses deep regret for the tragic loss of three citizens in the serious murder committed in Gjilan and conveys his most sincere condolences to the families of the victims.

The President also requests that the competent authorities apprehend the perpetrators of this macabre act as soon as possible and bring them to justice, to face full legal responsibility.

"It is regrettable that last year the same individuals were released by the justice institutions, after a short period of detention, despite the serious crimes they were accused of. The manipulation with the aim of misinforming public opinion, using random photographs taken in public spaces that the author of these works had taken with a number of public figures, is also worrying. A simple investigation shows that these photographs were taken during a festive event organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Albania in Kosovo, on the occasion of a public activity attended by other institutional representatives, political personalities, other guests and citizens. Within a year, the President appears in photographs with thousands of citizens and participants in public activities, whom she neither knows nor can know what their activity is. Therefore, the allusions to alleged "association" are nothing more than slander", - Osmani expresses./CNA
