Vetëvendosje proposes Albin Kurti for another term at the head of the

The Vetëvendosje Movement has nominated its leader, Albin Kurti, for another term at the head of the Government.

Kurti was proposed by unanimous vote at the 59th meeting of the LVV General Council.

The Vetëvendosje movement won a majority of votes in the February 9 parliamentary elections in Kosovo, winning 48 seats in the Kosovo Assembly, but not enough to form a government on its own.

The LVV made this decision just a few days after the Constitutional Court of Kosovo imposed a temporary measure, prohibiting MPs from taking any action to develop any procedure for the formation of the new Government of Kosovo.

The measure will be in effect from September 5-30. It has been criticized by the LVV, which has called for moving forward with the formation of a new government.
