The US Embassy in Pristina has reacted to the constitution of the Assembly and the formation of the government in Kosovo. The embassy's response states that they look forward to working with the new government to advance shared priorities, including regional peace, stability, and mutual economic prosperity.

"The US Embassy welcomes the formation of the Kosovo assembly and government. We look forward to working with the new government to advance shared priorities, including regional peace, stability, and mutual economic prosperity ," the statement said.

The OSCE Mission in Kosovo also congratulated the new government and expressed its congratulations to Albin Kurti on his re-election as Prime Minister. The OSCE Mission appreciated the strong cooperation built with Kosovo institutions across all communities.

“The OSCE Mission congratulates the new Government of Kosovo on its election and expresses its sincere congratulations to Albin Kurti on his reappointment as Prime Minister. We also congratulate Albulena Haxhiu on her election as Speaker of the Assembly of Kosovo.  The OSCE Mission appreciates the strong and sustainable cooperation it has built over the years with Kosovo institutions across all communities. We remain committed to this close partnership in the period ahead, working together in support of democratic governance, the rule of law, the protection of human rights and the well-being of all people in Kosovo. We wish the new Government every success and look forward to continuing our constructive cooperation for the benefit of all communities in Kosovo ,” the response states.

We recall that yesterday evening, the deputies who emerged from the December 28 elections elected Albulena Haxhiu as the Speaker of Parliament and also elected the five deputy speakers. After the constitution of the Assembly, the new government of Kosovo, with Prime Minister Albin Kurti, was voted in with 66 votes in favor. /CNA
